A Budaful City
Budapest, Hungary... a place I would have never imagined going, but a place filled with such beauty. My time in Budapest was spent exploring both sides of the city and trying traditional Hungarian food. From the Hungarian Goulash to the cosmos on tab, my time spent here could not have been better. An added basic white girl plus was that our beautiful airbnb was above a Starbucks, and oh have I missed my iced lattes. Italy doesn't have any Starbucks (and rarely can you get an iced coffee), so I think I spent more money at the Budapest Starbucks than I did on anything else. One of my favorite sites was at Fishermans Bastion a beautiful white castle that has a breathtaking view of the Parliament building. I couldn't help but feel like Cinderella as I overlooked Budapest with a castle behind me. Another must do is the Thermal Bods that are located all over Budapest. I went to the Szechenyi thermal baths, which are all outdoors and surrounded by a beautiful yellow castle like building. It may have been 40 degrees, but the warm water was soothing and relaxing, after a long weekend of exploring. I may have been stared at for taking so many pictures half the time, but hey I'm a blogger, the pictures are a must. The "Hungarian monopoly money" as I like to call it was most confusing part of the trip, but not much to complain about when I am lucky enough to spend every weekend in a new country or city.
